AGP4 is a second generation IgM anti-PEG monoclonal antibody. This antibody binds to the PEG backbone and is suitable for capture of PEGylated compounds in ELISA as well as the detection of PEGylated molecules.

A very sensitive ELISA can be achieved utilizing AGP4 as a capture antibody and 3.3-biotin as the detection reagent. Tween-20 can be used in wash buffers for this antibody combination

Binding of AGP4 to immobilized PEG.
Serial dilutions of AGP4 were incubated in ELISA plates coated with 5 µg methoxy-PEG₇₅₀ or 0.5 µg methoxy-PEG₃₀₀₀, amino-PEG_10,000 or methoxy-PEG_20,000. Binding of AGP4 to PEG was detected by addition of HRP-labeled anti-rat IgM and ABTS substrate.
